Google explains on Search Central how websites are handled in AI Overviews and AI Mode. The message is sober: Google's AI features still rely on SEO fundamentals. There are no secret AI files and no special tricks. For Beconova, that is good news because it supports the direction we are building in: SEO creates discoverability, GEO improves the machine-readable data layer.
Google describes AI Overviews and AI Mode as Search features that can show relevant links and supporting sources. A page must be indexable in Google and eligible to appear as a Search result with a snippet. Google does not name additional technical requirements for AI Overviews or AI Mode. Instead, the guide points back to familiar SEO fundamentals: do not block crawling, use clean internal links, make important content available as text in the DOM, improve page experience, keep structured data aligned with the visible page, and keep Merchant Center and Business Profile information up to date. The source is Google's Search Central page AI features and your website at developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/ai-features.

The guide does not say that GEO is nonsense. It says that GEO is not a magical shortcut for Google. That distinction matters. Anyone who wants visibility in AI Search first needs a solid SEO base: crawlable pages, indexable content, consistent business data and useful content. GEO builds on top of that. It checks whether product data, service data, locations, prices, reviews, sources and entities are clear enough for machines to parse. Google says llms.txt is not a special ticket for Google AI Search. For other AI crawlers, agent contexts and owned data feeds, a machine-readable data layer can still be useful.
Beconova connects SEO fundamentals with GEO and AI visibility measurement. The GEO Score checks technical and content factors such as Schema.org, E-E-A-T signals, content structure, crawler access, sources, freshness and AI readability. The platform creates structured data, checks feeds, documents crawler signals and supports rechecks. The next logical step is a stronger AI SEO product: Search Console signals, technical audits, keyword and prompt clusters, content actions, competitor gaps and AI citation monitoring belong together. Not as hype, but as a measurable operating process.
Google's guide is positive for Beconova, but it is not a blank check. Google does not directly endorse Beconova. It confirms the direction: useful content, crawlable technology, clean structured data and up-to-date business information. That is exactly where Beconova works. We do not promise guaranteed mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Overviews. We show what machines can read, what is missing and which actions can improve the chance of AI visibility.
